The Campaign

for Sadako Renewal

As a community, we will need to raise $300,000 to $500,000 for the design, fabrication, installation, landscape architecture, and maintenance of the Peace Park.  We are building this stack through community donations of all sizes, grants, and lobbying elected leaders.

to Hinano Smith!

Hinano Smith is a young and former Seattleite who lives in Hiroshima.  Ms. Smith organized her own fundraiser at her high school Spring festival at Hiroshima International School.  She designed beautiful postcards connecting the two cities of Hiroshima and Seattle and offered them for donations.  Hinano raised more than $1,200, at the festival and donated it to the Sadako Renewal Project.  We are so impressed by and grateful to this young student for expressing her deep connection to the Peace Parks and Sadako Sasaki in her two hometowns and taking action to repair this important site in Seattle. Many thanks to NHK for covering this heartwarming story.
